Do you want to make a difference in the life of a student?  Our school is seeking caring, consistent, adults to join our paraeducator team.  Paraeducators work closely with teachers to provide extra support to students in the classrooms and throughout the school environment. 

 

There is a specific need for paras in the Structured Learning program.  This is a self-contained classroom with a small number of students who have more extensive needs than may be found in other classrooms.  This position would be great for someone interested in special education, developmental disabilities, or nursing.

Successful Candidates

• Pass a background check
• Have a current TB test
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Complete 48 college credits OR have an associate’s degree OR Pass a State approved assessment (we can help you prepare for the assessment after you are hired)
• Are strong team players
• Possess basic computer and math skills
• Must enjoy a fast pace environment
• Can spend 80% of their day standing and 20% walking – Time is spent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and using finger dexterity
• Maintain regular and acceptable attendance/punctuality
