A Day in the Life:

• Analyze and resolve irrigation problems so they are operational
• Inspect irrigated areas to insure adequate soaking and prevent waste of water
• Install, adjust, maintain, and repair irrigation systems so lawns are well watered
• Set out watering equipment for lawns, trees, and flower beds without irrigation systems to ensure all lawns/vegetation are watered
• Assist with determining irrigation maintenance procedures and budget to ensure smooth operation of the irrigation area
• Maintains own hand tools so they are available for use
• Assist with snow removal as necessary
• Follow district policies and safety regulations
• Performs other duties as assigned in order to ensure a well maintained clean, orderly, and safe environment

Successful Candidates:

• Pass a background check
• Have advanced knowledge of the installation and repair of irrigation systems
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Have basic computer skills
• Work well with others
• Can lift heavy items and work in extreme weather
• Can spend 10% of their day sitting, 60% walking, and 30standing.  Generally the job requires lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and working with fine finger dexterity.
• Maintain regular and acceptable attendance/punctuality working 40 hours per week
