Help provide continued education to students when their teacher is away. Substitute teachers are a vital part of the total education process by providing instructional continuity.
How it Works:
- Select the assignments you want – You pick the days, buildings, grade level or subject you are comfortable with
- An automated system will let you know when opportunities are available and you make the decision whether or not to work
- On the day of the assignment, you arrive at the school 20 minutes early and check in with the sub secretary
- Follow the lesson plan
- Connect with students
- Leave notes for the teacher
- Check out with the sub secretary at the end of the assignment
Successful Candidates:
- Pass a background check
- Have a current TB test
- Hold a Kansas Emergency Substitute Teaching License
- Communicate effectively written and verbally
- Work well with others and can multi-task
- Can spend the majority of their day moving – Some time is spent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and using finger dexterity
What’s in it for you:
- Flexibility to accept assignments when they work in your schedule
- A positive and hardworking team experience
