Do you want to make a difference in the life of a student?  Our school is seeking caring, consistent, adults to join our paraeducator team.  Paraeducators work closely with teachers to provide extra support to students in the classrooms and throughout the school environment. 

Many of our paras work with students who need additional instructional support.  This would include students with any primary exceptionality such as learning disability, other health impairment, mild intellectual disability, autism, traumatic brain injury, etc.  The academic needs of the students in this classroom can typically be met using the general education curriculum presented through specially designed instruction. 

During the interview process, we will provide more detailed information regarding the day to day duties of the specific para position.

Successful Candidates

• Pass a background check
• Have a current TB test
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Complete 48 college credits OR have an associate’s degree OR Pass a State approved assessment (we can help you prepare for the assessment after you are hired)
• Are strong team players
• Possess basic computer and math skills
• Must enjoy a fast pace environment
• Can spend 80% of their day standing and 20% walking – Time is spent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and using finger dexterity
• Maintain regular and acceptable attendance/punctuality
