Help us get our students there safely.  We are seeking part-time transportation paras to help ensure students get to and from school safely.  The para works closely with the driver to assist in non-driving tasks.

A Day in the Life:

• Monitor and assist passengers, including students with special needs, while in transit to ensure appropriate behaviors necessary for safety
• Assist driver in emergency evacuation drills to ensure efficiency of procedures and compliance
• Provides emergency first aid and/or CPR as necessary
• Attend safety meetings to maintain skills and meet certificate requirements as required by the district and state
• Maintains confidentiality as required by district, state and federal laws
• Performs other duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the transportation department

Successful Candidates:

• Pass a background check
• Have a current TB test
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Can spend the majority of their time sitting – There will be some lifting, carrying, stooping and kneeling
• Maintain regular and acceptable attendance/punctuality
