Help us provide healthy, nutritious, appealing food to our students and staff!  This position works 4 hours per school day.

A Day in the Life:

• Prepare healthy, sanitary and appealing food to meet the nutritional needs of students and staff
• Utilizes sound sanitation standards in order to meet all district, state, and federal mandates
• Assist in serving food so that staff and students receive the food in a timely and friendly manner
• Perform other tasks necessary for efficient functioning of the food service program
  (e.g. washing dishes, scanning tickets, keeping the kitchen cleaned and organized, etc)
• Assist in daily inventory, re-stocking supplies, and notifying manager so that the food service program has the necessary resources to function efficiently
• Monitor and ensure compliance with temperature guidelines of the food and dishwasher
• Deep clean and defrost as necessary
• Maintains confidentiality as required by district, state and federal laws
• Performs other duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the kitchen

Successful Candidates:

• Pass a background check
• Have a current TB test
• Food Safety Basics – State Department of Education
• Are strong team players
• Possess basic computer and math skills
• Must enjoy a fast pace environment
• Understand and follow state health regulations
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Can spend 80% of their day standing and 20% walking – Time is spent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and using finger dexterity
• Can work in extreme temperatures in a noisy and crowded environment containing hazards
• Maintain regular and acceptable attendance/punctuality
